Mission Statement

The Arkansas Outdoors Coalition exists to support and equip organizations that teach and instill the love of the outdoors in today’s youth.


Purchase and maintain reusable outdoor equipment that organizations can use to provide outdoor experiences. Examples: Canoes, Kayaks, Backpacks, and Cooking Equipment.

Provide financial support to youth organizations to assist with the cost of High-Adventure Outdoor Experiences. Examples: Philmont Scout Ranch 12 day Backpacking, White Water Rafting on the Colorado River, and Utah Rock Climbing Guided Adventure.

About Us

The Arkansas Outdoors Coalition is a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization that was founded in 2017 by a group of Scout Leaders. These men saw a need to establish an organization that will partner with youth organizations to promote the importance of teaching youth the joy of the outdoors.

Our equipment inventory began with a fleet of canoes. Soon, we added a collection of backpacks and paddles for the canoes. We are looking to grow our equipment inventory to include water filters, sleeping bags, river canoes, and kayaks.

In 2020, we decided to expand our mission to begin assisting organizations with financial support that will help offset the expense of High-Adventure Outdoor Experiences. Our first sponsored experience is to help Boy Scout Troop 99 send 16 people on a twelve day backpacking trip to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. The total trip cost is $25,040 ($1565/person). Our goal is to offset this cost by at least 50%.

The Arkansas Outdoors Coalition is run entirely by volunteers. 100% of your contributions are used for purchasing/maintaining equipment and funding the High-Adventure Outdoor Experience Sponsorship Program.
